Catherine (Cat) Baab-Muguira

After earning her M.A. in creative writing from the University of Auckland in New Zealand, Catherine Baab-Muguira returned to her native Richmond and joined the Bergman Group as a copywriter. Before that, she was an international fellow at Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore and an instructor in the University of Auckland's Department of English. Her articles and poems have been published or are forthcoming in Folio, The Quarterly Literary Review of Singapore, Nerve.com and Slate's DoubleX.com. In 2008, she won first place in the James River Writers Best Unpublished Novel contest.
