Melissa Barragan

While still a student at UC-Santa Barbara, Melissa Barragan interned at Dorothy Day Otis, a Los Angeles talent agency, where she helped cast television commercials, including a Pepsi ad starring Britney Spears. In 2005, Melissa helped launch Ocean Magazine, where, as an advertising executive, she brought in such high-profile advertisers as Arrowhead Water, Hyatt Regency Hotels and Roxy, one of the world's largest manufacturers of surfwear equipment. After Ocean, Melissa worked as senior advertising executive for Ceremony, a Southern California-based wedding publication. Here, too, she brought in prestigious clients, including Alfred Angelo, the bridesmaid-dress designer, and St. Regis Hotels. In January 2010, Melissa, a native Californian with a B.A. in sociology, joined the Bergman Group as an account executive.
